I've just played once, so I don't have final opinion yet. But I can compare those to an older Sala, which I like very much. So, right away those shoes have a very good surface grip & ball control. Sole is good too, though a bit firmer than in older Sala. From opposite side — they're not so breathable & lightweight as I expected. And laces are madness — unfasten whole the time.
Arrived with black laces instead of yellow as pictured. Solution offered by Adidas was acceptable so ended up happy. The shoes themselves are good and my son is happy. Suitable as every day trainers as well as football. Also, beware that "delivery within 72 hours" means from time of shipment, not time of order.
We bought these shoes for our 11 year old daughter who trains four times a week with an academy team. She has predominantly played in midfield and defense. Although quick, she is not usually the fastest player on the field so her ball skills provide her advantage; it was necessary to find shoes that offered a good fit and maximized her ability to control the ball. These shoes do. She had no transition issues switching to these shoes other than briefly getting used to the feel of a sole with more cleats. We also really like that the sole is designed for both firm ground and artificial turf as it has become cumbersome hauling three different kinds of shoes around.
My last 5 pairs of cleats and turf shoes have been ADIDAS. I generally prefer them because they have been the best fit for me. In my past experience sizing has been consistent. This particular model is much narrower and slightly shorter than my other boots. There is too much pressure in the toe box for me, something that I haven't faced with my other ADIDAS products. I won't be able to use them.
This shoe addresses the safety issue of cleats too rigid on Turf Fields. The rounded multi cleat provides some give on Turf so the knee doesn't lock. This seems to address ,at least so far, the problem of no give and the displacement of the kneecap and ligament damage.
These astro trainers are perfect for my needs. The only slight problem I would have is that they are a little narrow (only on one of the trainers though). Other than that they are perfect for playing on the old sand astros
Best indoor football boots around apparently. My first thoughts are that they do appear to be a great purchase if you are looking for some football boots to play indoor football. You can feel the quality as soon as you put them on they are very comfortable and made from soft leather so they should fit like a glove and should loosen up a bit after a few more games of wearing them. At £80 they are not cheap but I suppose quality costs and managed to get 20% off them with a recent adidas promotion, so look out for future promotions to get them at an even better price!
Comfort, grip, touch, and power. I highly recommend you hit the Adidas Employee store and drop the $55. I just might pick up a second pair to last me forever. These grip better than nubby turfs shoes on turf fields with the black rubber in them. I did not slip once even on some of the more 'rubbery' spots of the pitch. The Boost sole is great for those harder Futsal surfaces. My feet and knees thank me for it. I actually would give these 4.5 stars instead of 5 due to the fact that the foot bed is too narrow and pinches on the sides of my feet. I assume once these break in a bit they will be fine. The toe box is perfect. The laces do tend to come untied, make sure you double knot them nice and tight. GET THESE NOW
Tried these on for the first time in a club match 90 mins without any discomfort whatsoever! No blisters or sore feet at all, always loved and only owned adidas football but this is one of the best I've had, very good in assisting performance in different conditions aswell, would fully recommend this boot and brilliantly quick delivery service
My son only considers adidas football boots due to their technology, sizing and comfort. When it came to the retirement of his beloved F50's (due to them being worn out - he plays 3 times a week) he liked the look of these boots and the technology built into the boot. We went straight to the park and had a kick around and was instantly pleased with the comfort and the feel. During the first actual match he played with them, he scored direct from a corner. The boots enabled him to put plenty of curl and spin on the ball and outwit the keeper resulting in a very pleased 9 year old!
Great: +light +great ball-feel across the top of the shoe +low profile +tacky bottom for ball control Not as great: -stock laces come undone too easy, even after double-knotting. Will probably swap them for AMO Customs -the Boost adds to the price and not to the performance...I was really hoping these would make for great, shock-absorbing street boots -this is a 'knock' against all the new Boost indoor shoes...too narrow. I tried the X15.1, the Messi 15.1 and the mi X 15.1 CT. Everything is so narrow now. -even though this was wide enough in the toe-box, my foot was still being "squeezed" from the sides. I don't know what's going on or if Adidas has different foot models they use now but their shoes are too tight. I supposed if I was wearing the new compression Prime Knit I would understand but these synthetic shoes are going to take forever to break in. My only suggestion is not to order online but to try them out in person. And don't buy too big just to negate the narrow feeling...you will hinder your touch in a longer boot.
Very comfortable shoe with a reasonable weight so striking ball over distance is easy. The soft leather forefoot makes for a good first touch and helps with measuring weight when spraying passes from the centre of the field. Due to the wide fit and K-leather toe-box the shoe requires no break in time.
Purchased these boots for my son who has the old nitro charge size 13 but as the sizes were in half sizes I was a little apprehensive as I didn't want these to be too big. I had a chat with one of the online representatives and he reassured me that the 13.5 would be the right size and they were my son absolutely loves them and they fit like a glove and with free printing it was well worth the money.
First of all, I could potentially give this a 5, but, I kept it at a 4 solely because I haven't played football with it yet. However it feels great, I had watched some interview online about it and it turned out to be as great as I wished. It's comfortable for wearing around like everyday shoes too and is fashionable. The only test that remains is to see how it performs on the court. So, at the moment it's been next to perfect for me.
Boots will require a bit of wearing in. I have wide feet(2E) and they molded to my feet after a few wears. Very light for a k leather boot. When choosing a size it is slightly smaller than normal. I normally wear US9 with a bit of room at the front. i bought US8.5 in the boot and its just right (might be tight for some)
There name sums these boots up in one word ACE! There the best boots I've ever worn the leather gives these boots a traditional feel to the ball but with all the lightweight qualities of a modern boot!
My son loves these trainers, he prefers the "retro" look to the gaudy coloured other brands currently on the market. He really wants a pair of Copa's or Kaiser 5's for his football too. So real good pair of trainers the Ace 15.4's good ball control and light but tough enough to last the rigours of 7's kids football training. Oh yeah the look really smart when you black the 3 stripes out too! Recommended to any parent as u get them personalised for free!!! Mik
Wore the boot for the first time today and its extremely comfortable. The cushioning inside makes the difference on hard surfaces, sleek design, looks good. Had them personalized and it looks really good, overall a very good football boot.
I've been playing soccer for over 20 years and I had worn several shoes in the past, and this are probably the best shoes I have ever worn, They fit true to size. Although they are comfortable out of the box, I recommend to break them in before you take them into a serious game. The shoes fit snug and comfortable, they feel very responsive, solid, stable and protective, the touch on the ball is amazing, perfect for controling, dribbling, passing and shooting, the outsole is incredible, provides an excellent traction in FG and AG and a decent traction in HG and SG. The only thing that I didn't like about the shoes were the insoles, they are thin so dont provide good cushioning and they are slippery on your socks. No matter what position you play or what is your style of playing, these well rounded shoes will make you feel confident during 90 min. Adidas Ace Leather are the way to go.
