Man this shoe is amazing!! It fits perfect (I went true to size), looks soooo good and is the most comfortable basketball shoe I've ever worn. The caged boost is responsive yet not too soft. Great job adidas!
Traction, Cushion and Materials of the this shoe is very good in this shoe. The shoe fits nicely and snug. My feet has no slipping inside the issue which is what I want in a basketball shoe. The price though is in the high side. I encountered some scuff on the area around my fibula so thick socks are recommended.
Just when I thought the Crazylite Boost 2016 was the most awesomest (Not even sure if that's a word lol) kicks of the new 16-17 season in comes the Crazy Explosive PRIMEKNIT. On 1st Impression I wasn't sure what to make of the design? Kinda quirky, odd, different but once in my hand WOW! They are beautiful & the primeknit is just buttery smooth. They feel awesome on feet. I bought my usual size & they are TTS (True To Size). Haven't had a chance to play in'em because I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis but on initial wear they're very comfy. Again, GREAT JOB ADIDAS! Ps. How come I never get a discount code for these reviews? I get the emails telling me I'll be emailed a discount code for leaving a review but never actually receive one? This is like my 4th and nada but I leave a reviews because I genuinely love the products.
Truly pains me that I had to return these due to inconsistent sizing and fit. The left shoe fit great but the right was way off. Traction and cushion were all time. I had the most issues with the shallow heel cup and the lacing was a bit off for me. Really too bad because these are one of the most comfortable hoop shoes I've ever put on. Lock down was just a little too unstable for me personally. If the ankle collar was just 2 cm higher in the heel, I think they would've been perfect.
This has to be the most comfortable basketball shoe I have ever worn. It feels and looks like a high top ultra boost which is the best shoe from a comfort standpoint ever in my opinion. Only thing I would change is figure out a way to lighten them a tad bit but other than that awesome shoe!
Excellent traction and decent impact protection. Runs slightly narrow and large, may want to go half a size down. Can't really feel much boost at the front but I think it's design for better court feel. Those with wide feet may opt for the primeknit version when avail for better comfort.
Best basketball shoe I've ever worn and played in. Extremely comfortable and the Primknit is amazing. The boost fells the same as the Ultraboost running shoe (best show ever)! I will be purchasing other colors also as soon as they become available.
The look and comfort of this shoe are both great. However, I have had my foot completely slip out of the shoe THREE times while making cuts in a basketball game. I tied them tighter and it still happened. That is the sign of a flawed product when it comes to performance.
Adidas Crazylight Boost low is by far the best basketball shoe ive played in. Now, Iam not a hooper but i do play rec and with Friends. The quality of the shoe is great and the bost is felt during play. Pretty good traction, very comfotable, and your feet Will not Hurt afterwards. The only problem is the fit of The shoe, you need to go half a size down. Other than that you Will get your moneys worth, HANDS DOWN.
Great low top shoe. Full length boost provided solid cushioning and the upper of the shoe fits very comfortably and snug. The continental rubber used on the sole makes for excellent traction. Beware, the shoe runs half a size to a full size too big. So if you wear an 11, go ahead and get a 10 or 10 1/2
Not sure why people are so in love with this shoe. The Crazylight Boost Low 2016 is definitely an above average shoe (especially for how much it costs in comparison to competitors). Pros: Boost- very comfortable-- different feel from Ultra BOOST because the BOOST is more dense and compacted Traction- A1, awesome/great/phenomenal. The use of continental rubber definitely helps and makes it more the outsole more sticky and durable Material: Jacquard is very durable and definitely better than most fused uppers. Flexible and soft enough to provide comfort and durable enough to not tear or rip easily. Cons: Lockdown- HORRIBLE. Lots of heel slippage when walking, running, and jumping. I thought lockdown would be a given in 2016 for any basketball shoe (even if it's a low top because they do exist) Fit- WTH?! 1. The shoe is outrageously extra long so going down a half size is actually like going up a half size in a normal shoe. If you go down a FULL size in the Crazylight BOOST 2016 then you're actually getting your normal size that you would purchase for any other shoe (I hope that makes sense) 2. There is only 4 lace holes/ eyelets! Why adidas did this is beyond me and it doesn't make sense. I don't think that is related to any heel slippage, but rather having only 4 lace holes doesn't keep the foot from sliding around in the shoe and keeping the shoe molded/hugging your foot. It's very abnormal to only have 4 lace holes when most others shoes average 6-8 lace holes which seems to get the job done lockdown wise. Overall, I would still consider this shoe to be above average because of the great traction (which you can't find in a lot of shoes out there for some reason) and because of the BOOST which makes it a very comfortable shoe and great for absorbing impact. I gave the shoe 3 starts because it's an above average low top basketball shoe, but lacks a very effective lockdown which is essential to me because if a basketball shoe doesn't have great lockdown then I might as well play in tennis shoes.
I was disappointed in the lack of cushion on these shoes. I am used to wearing Ultra Boost off court and D Rose 6 on court and was hoping for the same feel--not even close. If you are looking for that boost feel, go with the Crazy Explosive instead. That said, if you like less cushion and more court feel these might be perfect for you. They are comfortable, but just don't give that boost feel I was expecting. I have a slightly wide foot and true to size on these was perfect for me.
Got these kicks in the Andrew Wiggins Timberwolves home colorway at footlocker for $80. It was perfect in my opinion. The boost in the heel was very comfortable and the adiprene+ was decent as well to give enough cushioning to feel comfortable wearing them for hours on end but not sacrificing court feel. The primeknit upper and mesh lower is also top quality. The traction is excellent and you stop very hard and don't have to wipe too much. Just don't take these outside. The only problem that you may encounter is the fit and lockdown. The fit feels a little uncomfortable when you first play in these, but after a few days you get used to it. You just don't feel as locked down and secure as other shoes, but it's not the worst lockdown I've had in a shoe. It just didn't match the high grade of the other aspects of this crazylight model. Overall, these are a solid shoe to hoop in and you should definitely try them out.
These are niiiice! Not just a basketball kick but great to wear outside of playing the game. Crazylight's often get reviews saying they come up quite big but I'm a 9.5 and these were perfect as a 9.5. Another hidden gem that not many people will have.
After 6 hours on slight dust wooden floor, comfort level was good, bounce and heel-toe transition very good, traction outstanding, material seems durable. Having narrow feet and weak ankles, I am amazed how supportive a low-top can be.
This shoe feels amazing, the cushion is like no other, for a good price too. The traction is pretty good, I play on a dusty gym court and these are far superior to my old shoes. The only criticism I have is that they are a little heavier than I was expecting. Overall, great shoe would highly recommend. Excited for some new colourways.
The materials used a brilliant. Not primeknit but the jacquard is still retry good and gives good ventilation. The boost is not soft like an ultra boost, it's much firmer having more boost capsules in it but provides good impact protection. The reaction is absolutely brilliant (even though the white colour way doesn't use the intercontinental rubber). I went half a size down after reading up on sizing. Do not do this, go true to size as it was very uncomfortable. The show is quite narrow fitting but I would still recommend true to size unless your wide footed. I'm very impreSed with this as a performance shoe and is massively cheaper than other basketball shoes of a similar performance.
This shoe is amazing. I have a wide foot and wear orthodoics and the fit is a 7/10 for me but cushion and traction are so ridiculous that although it doesn't fit my personal foot well and my heel slips some, it is the best performing basketball sneaker I have. Best cushion I own wise if brandblack Jcrossover 3 is a 5/10, KD9 and Drose 6 are 7/10, this shoe is a 10/10 and the traction blows all those shoes out of the water. Great shoe, the best shoe I have, and the crazy part is it could still be better!
Ive been playing in these for the past 2 weeks and I find the heel lockdown to be an issue. At first i thought it was an issue with my socks but having tried 2-3 different pairs its not made any difference, this seems to be caused by the heavy midsole compounded by the padding on the heel collar which allows your heel to slip. The cushion is decent and the traction is good but the lockdown is poor and the lacing dosent allow for good enough adjustment. Im disappointed with the fit on this shoe I was hoping it was going to be a good performer, I was even overlooking the weight of the shoe but Im not usually into lows cus of the lack of ankle support but if the shoe is coming off my foot in games then it’s a wrap. Hopefully the DRose 7 will have better heel lockdown.
Traction is phenomenal. Cushion is absolutely insane. Fit is a bit longer than I'd like it to be. The heel lockdown is the only thing I don't like. It doesn't slip out while playing, but I don't have a secure lockdown feel. Amazing shoe overall. Would definitely double up on. Great job Adidas.
As soon as I opened the box...... Love at first sight. Just on initial looks I was wow'd, but once on feet I was even more impressed. Judging by an online review which wasn't based on a general release(which was also primeknit) I went half size up, which I wish I didn't do. I had to send these back and re order my size. These run TTS and fit like a glove. Boost runs all the way which means you're feet are in heaven. The White colourway is so fresh that didn't have the heart to ball in'em & ruin'em so I got the Red colourway. Can't wait for future colours, well done adidas!!!!!
These are by far the best low top basketball shoes I have ever worn. The Kobe IVs came out quite awhile ago and have finally been surpassed by the Crazylight 2016! The cushion is outstanding and full length and is even more responsive than the D Rose 6 Boost. Traction is outstanding indoors and outdoors and I never have to wipe. The only suggestion I would make is for people to go a half size down because they do run slightly long. As a Houston Rockets fan I am excited that James Harden will be wearing these instead of his old Nikes that had no cushion and felt like bricks. Also looking forward to his signature shoe when it releases as long as it has full length Boost.
The Lillard 2 runs a little big so a half size down may be in order. I havent played in Adidas since the Gilbert Arenas shoe but I have to say these are easily comparable to anything on the market right now. Full length cushion that cant be killed by stepping on a tack....and for 105?? Plus the materials are top of the line. They were so comfortable I bought another pair to walk around in. I just wish 13.5 was a little more common place.
These are great shoes. Really comfortable and exceptionally light. The only thing I would change was that the slightly off-white colour on the primeknit detailing would have been better as pure white which would have been more striking. Other than that they are pretty amazing.
All you need to know is this shoe runs true to size and Boost is super comfortable. The graphics are dope I love the red I rock these with my Manchester United jerseys home and away. I have a wide foot and these fit perfect no need to go size up or down. Plus these are slept on honestly they should be sold out by now but that's why I love em, because no one else has em.
