This shoe is interesting. It looks great in pictures but in reality, the material on the toe box - that reverse-studded neoprene - looks cheap in person. This shoe's sole is very comfortable BUT it is a bit narrow for a size 9 (what I normally wear). It also has terrible breathability. Upon closer inspection, some of the the dimples on the polyester are actual perforations but the majority are not. This shoe becomes an oven very quickly. The material on the back of the shoe (the white) is very nice. Overall, shoe is disappointing since it looks and feels worse than what I'd expect from adidas.
Purchased for training in the gym and spin classes. Excellent for training, very comfortable and very supportive around ankle. Probably not suitable for spinning, slightly wide and need a thicker sole. A good trainer which I would recommend.
Let me begin by saying I love these shoes. I've had them for a week and have used them every day for high bar squats. I have poor ankle mobility due to an old fractured tibia that still has a plate and screws in place, yet the heel lift in the AdiPowers help me keep an upright posture which in turn has eliminated my low back pain. I have gone from a wide hip dominant low bar squat to a narrower stance high bar squat that is more quad dominant. I'm not big on style but they look and fit great! The Velcro strap sets very secure and the tongue doesn't slide down the inside. I wear only for squats so I can't say if they help or are comfortable for other lifts.
First pair of adidas I've bought in about 10 years. I was so unsure which brand to go for but I'm really happy I chose the powerlift. Comfortable, supportive, rigid in the right places. Needless to say I PB'd my front squat in them first time wearing them. For my first set of lifting shoes I would highly recommend, not the most expensive but certainly no compromise on quality.
These have made a big difference to my lifting, I really like that you plant your feet and there is no movement. The one thing I would note is that I did have to size up, I'm usually a 7 and had to purchase the 7.5.
Fantastic trainer, unfortunately the colour was a disappointment, a little to green for my taste, it appeared darker on the website, if and when adidas make an all black or all dark blue version of this trainer I will definitely buy
Really good. Feel more stable and have superior grip when squatting. I didn't think I needed to invest $200 on lifting shoes so i tried this one out and Im happy with them. I do not see myself getting the more expensive lifting shoes anytime soon
There's a lot of differing opinions on wether weigh lighting shoes are needed. Why not just wear Chuck Taylor's right? Well, these shoes are a great alternative offering many benefits over other traditional training shoes. The solid stable sole helps plant your feet solidly giving you the security to really plant your lifts. Unlike other more expensive shoes they look simple and classy too. Recommended. Very wide fitting too.
Narrow fit but comfortable stride. I usually wear a 9.5 US in Adidas Originals but my Ultra boost were a bit too big in 9.5 so I chose 9 in these but they were pretty tight and my toe was too close for comfort to the tip of shoe. I have returned them for a 9.5 and fit is much better. They synthetic materials look cool juxtaposed together. I am going to do some HIT workouts and see how they stand up.
I started to increase the amount of running I was doing so was looking for some better trainers than the cheap old ones I was using. You do need to bed these in as after the first run I wondered if I'd made a mistake but after that these have been great. Don't bother trying to do any heavy leg lifts with these though. Decided to hit some squats whilst wearing these and could feel the soles squirming around! But then they're not meant for that so what can you expect. Overall very happy with these.
These have been very beneficial to my Squats, Deadlifts and Presses etc. I'm fairly new to lifting (2 months), so these were the perfect meeting of lower price and solid function to get me started off on the right foot... OH!!! TERRIBLE PUN!
I had to use men's sizing because I am a large women's size that most don't carry (12). I ordered a 10.5 and an 11. I went with the smaller size, they are a little big but the 10s would have been too small. Quality is excellent. I use these for squats only and they are perfect, my feet don't budge when I squat. Best purchase ever.
Good fit, I took the advice and ordered a full size bigger but could have got away with just a half size, no width issues and I'm a very wide 9. Stable and secure on the platform-no slipping or sliding, surprisingly comfortable from the off. Near unbeatable value in the sale @ £52.50. I bought the green ones and they are a lot, lot greener than the photo suggests but personally I love it-nice to get away from the usual "blokey" blacks, reds, and whites. Took a little longer to arrive than expected and not sure of the need for a box within a box-just a lot of extra packaging to dispose of. I would definitely recommend a pair.
This is my second pair of these lifters. Adidas has always fit my foot well and I have never had quality issues. And I love that I was able to get these customized with my name on the heel. Even with the customization they arrived in s week !!
