Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome shoe. Must buy if you're a weightlifter Bought this shoe for my weightlifting workouts. Used them today for squats and I was very impressed. I can get to parallel with normal shoes. With these I got significantly lower than parallel. After the workout my quads were extremely sore. This shoe puts a lot more emphasis on them. Previously the only way I could work them that hard was to pre-exhaust with leg extensions and then squat. Haven't tried on deadlifts yet.. Not sure the raised heel will be as beneficial as with squats. And while the price is high, the materials are premium grade, so it's worth it. The shoe is very focused and pure so should only be used for weightlifting. August 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by ADIPOWER First lifting shoe so cant compare it with any other out there. The solid and elevated heal has forced me to lean forward when preforming my lifts making sure that my foot stays solid on the floor without the heel raising up. The support is great and even small things such as the grip on the tough making sure it doesn't slide around is what makes this shoe the best out there in my opinion. Sizing: I am a size 8.5 running shoes will a little space at the end of the toe and ordered a size 7 because they did not have a 7.5. They are a little to small so only was able to try them once but will be exchanging them right when they get a bigger size so my toe isn't getting crushed. I recommend going half a size down at most or the same size if your shoes are already tight fitting as they are supposed to fit tight especially for powerlifting. Rated 5 out of 5 by In love from the first use I have been weightlifting as part of CrossFit for 4 years and recently starting to focus more on weightlifting and participating in club level competition. This is my fourth pair of lifting shoes and I have to say my favourite! Right from the very first lifting session in them they were extremely comfortable and way more stable - especially receiving position for snatch. My other shoes have wooden heel so I was a bit dubious about moving away from this but I really DO love the AdiPower. I am a female and they still fit great, I am usually a size 8 so ordered the 6.5 and very happy with them, especially this being my first pair of Adidas shoes. Love the new color scheme too! Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic stability I was looking into purchasing weightlifting shoes, specifically for squatting. Initially, I was hesitant in buying the adiPower shoes because I have relatively wide feet; and I had heard the shoes were quite narrow. However, they fit wonderfully. The adiPower shoes provide an incredibly firm foundation on which you can lift, and I highly recommend them for serious weightlifters. I noticed that I instantly improved in terms of how much weight I could squat, as well as my depth in the squat. Simply put, these shoes will anchor you to the ground. NOTE: It is important to realize that these are NOT for exercises like running but rather explicitly constructed for weightlifting. March 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by These are a rock solid pair of lifting shoes. I am not going to saying thing new that you have not already heard but what i am going to offer is my sizing guide. I was able to try on the Powerlift 2.0 for sizing before I bought my adipower. In the store they had a size 11 and a 12. The 11 was a bit to tight and the 12 was loose so i knew the 11 1/2 was going to be perfect. In Converse I am a 10 1/2 and in Jack Purcells I am a size 11 April 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Different than the red ones I cannot believe that nobody is pointing the difference between the black and the red Adidas adiPower. Overall the shoes are exactly the same with one exception. The shoe lace on the red pair has an extra hole which gives a better support. Don't get me wrong. I love the shoes and I also did not notice till my friend got the red ones. I felt kind of cheated. I lift for over 20 years and I was pro athlete. I highly recommend the shoes. Just make sure u get the red ones. April 4, 2014

They make a real positive difference in both correct form and weight lifted. I would not hesitate to recommend these shoes to anyone that is serious about weightlifting. April 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by so far so good I have only used these shoes 4 times for about 6 hours total so I cannot speak to how they will hold up. These are also my first pair of lifting shoes so not great for comparison, but they are about as comfortable as I would have expected and only seem to be getting better as I wear them. I do know that are much nicer looking than most weight lifting shoes that I have seen. April 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoes These shoes are great. My goals are strength and powerlifting. These are Olympic shoes but no doubt are extremely effective for squats and other lifts. Not only are they great for squats but provide great stability for overhead press and even bench. I wouldn't recommend them for deadlifts because of the elevated heel so it almost feels like you're doing half a deficit deadlift but that's ok, 3 out of 4 lifts they're good for. I wear a size 12 normally and ordered a size 12 and returned them for 11.5 and they're perfect. You want a snug fit, they're lifting shoes, you aren't wearing these for maybe more than an hour at a time. January 11, 2014

How to get the right fit

First, don't measure your feet in the morning; feet often swell during the day due to heat and activity. For the best fit, measure your feet at the end of the day.

To measure your shoe size follow these instructions:


  • 1. HEEL-TOE LENGTH

    Place a piece of paper on the floor with one end against a wall. Stand on the piece of paper with your heel against the wall. Mark the piece of paper where your toes end with a pencil.

    Measure from the end of the piece of paper to the mark you created with your pencil and compare the measurement to our sizing chart.


Choose the right size

That's easier said then done. Because, what do you do if you are in between two sizes?

In this case it might be safest to go for the size up, rather than the size down. And you know what? You can just try them on at home.
