Rated 5 out of 5 by Fredz MiCoach pacer bundle
I bought this for my girlfriend and she really enjoy it. Need a couple of training sessions to understand everything. Small problems with the monitoring voice (it didn't "talk" when supposed to) but, overall, it works very well

Love the free training programs. Interval training clearly works like the experts have been saying for years. Can't imagine training for a half marathon any other way, and getting as good results.
Easy to use. Find my personal webpage easy to navigate.
One complaint, wish it were road bicycle compatible. Would love bike training programs.

I bought the miCoach pacer bundle 3 years ago and I've worn it out with use (and I'm not a runner#. I use it to guide both my aerobic workouts #heart rate monitor) and to give me ideas for weight workouts - it was recommended to me by my son who is in special forces and needs to be in excellent condition at all times. I've worn my first one out through constant use and have ordered a second one

Great idea with very poor execution.
Hardware has some design flaws that become quite annoying over time. For example:
1) the grip that's supposed to attach the pacer to your clothing is very badly designed, the pacer won't stay attached once you start running and hitting the pavement. It keeps falling.
2) You need different cables to attach the pacer to your computer and MP3 player
3) Once you attack your MP3 player to the pacer, you can't use the remote anymore. You need to do basic commands such as volume, skip etc manually.
4) The feedback voice is recorded in mono and sounds pretty bad.
5) Having to press a button to every time you want to check your workout stats is quite annoying.
Software and micoach's site are an important part to get the most out of you pacer. Unfortunately the site is not very user friendly, and worst of all, it's very buggy. It's a flash site and every time there's some kind of malfunction. Same thing for the iPhone app.
I've had this bundle for a few months and I'm very disappointed. Monitoring and recording your runs is very motivating and helpful, but the hardware and software are so poorly made, it just brings the whole experience down. I'm ready to throw my pacer bundle in the garbage and look for another system.
I'll give two star for the concept, otherwise I can not recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MikeinTO8 Excellent for training for 5k or 10k
Running for 5k or 10k I wanted to improve my personal best. It's tough when running is a solo sport. The pacer is an excellent way to improve your leg work through intervals and keeps you honest (tells you to speed up when you need to)

I just figured out how to use the pacer bundle not to long ago. Didn't start out good the first couple of times i charged it fully the battery lights would not turn off had to wait for the battery to die before getting it to work again. But now its working good and i do enjoy it. I did notice that you could walk, run or bike but is there a rollerblade option for the micoach as well. If not something to think about.

The Adidas miCoach Pacer Bundle works great. I found the products to work very well together along with the Adroid and Windows software to connect to the miCoach website. I have found this to be very helpful in giving guidance while working out and the data collected to be helpful and motivating to keep improving. I recommend this to anyone that works out on their own and wants to improved their cardio strength through interval running.

I am not a natural sportsman, but since giving up smoking recently I have been looking for ways to try and get fitter again. The my coach pacer bundle has been ideal for this, providing me with a selection of training program's to choose from (I have started by saying i am the lowest fitness level) and my plan is to work my way up the training schedules.
You can set the frequency and type of training you can complete using the online software and create your own plans to suit your personal goals. I must admit I have not stuck to the first schedule I selected, but the pacer picks up from the sync'd workouts at when I sync again it adjusts itself accordingly.
The heart rate monitor takes a little while to get used (perhaps just because it's the first time I've used one). The foot pod clips on the laces of my running shoes for non-miCoach shoes and is so small and light you don't even notice it's there. The pacer has picked up the HRM and foot pod with no problems (I'm not sure the ranges it will detect from but I'm 6' 2" and have had no problems at all) and the pacer itself is quite discreet.
The pacer connects to mp3 player through a 3mm jack cable, so you can play music and listen to the coach. The headphones included have one, in ear, ear piece. Personally i have no problems with this, but if you prefer you can plug in your own head phones.
I did have sme issues syncin the device after my first work out, but found he community forum quite useful and got I up and running after a reboot off the device and hen reconnecting to the computer.
Overall a nice little product that I am yet to put fully through it's paces (or perhaps that should read - I've not yet gone through the paces wearing it). But with the data it feeds back I am hoping to pick up my training now my holiday is over.
My only concern before buying the device was it's price tag. But I was swayed with a promotional offer and I'm glad I got the bundle. I guess those who already have a HRM may not get as much out of the bundle as I have.

I like it! Unfortunately it's not yet manufactured in Brazil. Got mine with an American and I'm very satisfied!
