This shoe has always been a great running shoe (and I have tried a lot) Purchased this version without realizing the different color soles. Really made it a fun looking shoe and my daughters love it! Hope it makes me run faster......
I'm only moderately active and needed to replace a pair after a mud race. The sales person suggested this was one of the better ones in the store so I tried a size smaller, the only one available, and it was noticeably more comfortable, lightweight and flexible than any shoe I've ever had. I ordered the half size smaller than usual online and it's a perfect fit. I'm usually 8.5/9 for width and the 8 is perfect. I can't wait to try exercise in them. The only thing is the topside is made with mesh and the more rigid sole is connected at the exact place my toenails end. If I wear this with no sock, that ridge annoyingly catches on my nails.
I have a previous pair trainers which is perfect so i went ahead and ordered another pair and since i've slowly repaired from a torn tendon in my ankle, I needed a decent pair just to give me more support and it done just that. Something i would recommend to people who needs extra support to prevnet injuries like myself.
This pair of running shoes came as a surprise for me. Soles were completely different in color: one green, the other one, pink! Still I think that is quite original and unique. I love it. +++ Very comfortable and fit perfectly. WOW !!!
This is the second pair of Supernova Sequence 7 Boost that I get. I've tried a few brands and models but these are the ones that seem to suit my foot best. They are comfortable to run with but also feel suitably stable and, so far, I have luckily avoided injury despite the fact that my training can be a bit on and off depending on work requirements. The one negative I would point is the choice and range of colours - I would have preferred something more neutral than the black-orange and blue options available.
I work in a laboratory with hard floors and am on my feet all day so you need comfort and light shoes. The Supernova Glide Shoes are fantastic, they are light, comfortable and you do a buy 1/2 size bigger. I did think they are blue but they are bright purple in some lights and I am getting many compliments for these shoes so I would recommend these shoes if you wish to stand out and purple/blue is in your wardrobe. I am not a runner but do walk my dog a lot (well she walks me!) and am on my feet at work most of the 8 hours. No blisters on the first day at all.
Having the 'Boost' golf shoes, I had to get a pair of comfortable trainers/running shoe...for WALKING...yes, these are not just running shoes! in fact the best walking shoes are running shoes and these are fantastic, comfortable, feel like walking on air. Cannot recommend highly enough. Worn Adidas since i was 13 and never let me down. Fantastic shoe, you won't be disappointed at all.
I've only been running for 5 months so far - clocked about 800km in my first investment - a pair of Duramo 6, before trying these as a step up. The first thing - they are noticeable more bouncy than the Duramo shoes. I only really run on roads and the impact of running on the asphalt/pavement is much smother and softer in these shoes. They are slightly heavier than the Duramos, but the smoothness makes up for it and more. The second time I ran in these I've improved my average 12k pace from 5:15 to 5:07 without any extra effort. And still improving. I was also very lucky with the fit - I'm size 7/7,5 - and the size 7,5 shoes I've ordered fit perfectly! It's crazy - no more blisters! No comments on durability - I've only been running in these for about 3 weeks - the clock is around 150/170km, but no noticeable deterioration on the outsole so far, which is pretty impressive. Overall loving these shoes at the moment!
I had decided I wanted to go with a lighter shoe and a running store steered me to these. I wasn't disappointed. They seem to propel me forward and I noticed quicker runs right away. I got 1st place in my age group in 10K and it was not a small race. I knew I would buy Adidas again. Since I like to try different shoes, I'm now looking for my 3rd just this year!
I've been running for 15 years and had the Supernova Glides recommended to me by a podiatrist about 5 years ago. They are the lightest and longest lasting of the neutral runners on offer. Thank you, Adidas!
Had ordered these in an 8 which I usually am however they were really tight so ordered the 8.5 which I thought would be perfect. However these were also really tight and I am not getting the 9's as they are not for running in. Lovely looking trainer though!
I love Nike shoes for training, but not running. I had been a loyalist to Asics for running. However, after my most recent purchase, my feet ached to the point that it hurt to walk after my runs (usually about 3 miles / day). I had a running store work with me to find the perfect shoe. I was hesitant to even try an Adidas (since Brooks and Asics seem to be synonymous with running), but fell in love. My feet no longer hurt and I will be a loyalist from this point forward. LOVE THESE SHOES!
I love adidas running shoes, and loved the Glide 6, but when they changed to the 7, they changed too much. I like the upper; very flexible, but the tongue/lacing system is shorter in length and therefore, there is material that hits the top of your foot incorrectly. So disappointed, and had to return. Referred to the Boost and don't love these either. I will probably look for the old Supernova Glide 6 shoes.
I had my running gaite analysed and the shop recommended these because I over pronate. I find them very hard and the cushioning isn't great, running in them isn't easy as I have shin and glute pain after I run. I realise that some of that my be due to the way I run hence the 3 star rating. Needless to say I'm stuck with these for a year or two, hopefully I'll get used to them.
Good all-round supportive shoe. I was getting runner's knee and getting this new shoe has been one factor in helping me recover. if you are after a more supportive shoe then this will be a good choice.
This is my first pair of boosts I have purchased so far, and I absolutely love them. The cushioning in the individual cells is unlike anything I have worn. I usually wear a 6.5 or a 7. I bought the 6.5 size and they fit perfect. I would highly recommend these
Loved the silver upper but I was surprised by the color variations between the left and right shoes. Different inserts, sock liners and outer rubber soles. Great idea. They are also very comfortable. Time to order a back up pair.
I first ordered the blue pair but after wearing them for a few weeks I just had to get another pair as I like them so much. They are great for running but I practically wear them all the time. I have a bit of overpronation but this shoe is great and gives me a lot of support and comfort.
After having a small gate analysis done on my running style I was quickly prompted to buy these shoes as my ankles slightly overpronate and is technically prone to injury. These shoes have a raised arch on the inside of the shoe in order to get the running forces to move linearly through your foot and stop the overpronation. This shoe is absolutely perfect for that. It is singularly the most stable shoe I have ever owned and it is the sort of shoe that I know could just go on and on for easily over 200 miles. However there are a few problems, firstly it is a pretty heavy shoe - I went from a very lightweight minimal shoe to this and you can really feel the extra 100g when you run. The biggest problem for me though is that I try not heel strike when running due to getting a more efficient stride every meter and try to aim to do midfoot running which this shoe just simply does not allow. Due to the very rigid sole of the shoe every time I tried to get right up on my toes to really push my time the shoe just forced me back down to my heel again. Worse because my fascia wasn't being allowed to stretch due to the rigid sole my fascia started to hurt after the first 6KM. The shoe felt like it was forcing me to heel strike. So this shoe is not for me as it doesn't quite fit my running style and I ended up with the Adios Boost 2.0's as they are more lightweight and more flexable but that does not detract from how great a shoe it is. When you do heel strike though, you really see the benefits of the boost technology as the foam under your heel really does catapult you along much more efficiently then most running shoes I've tried which is testament to the top quality of the trainer.
Needed some support trainers for my apparently worsening pronation and these have been recommended by various online sources, review sites etc. Tried a pair instore and they felt great! On receipt and bit more time wearing I noticed how the stiffness of the support affects you, notably my left foot was a bit sore for a few days, but now that's gone and they feel absolutely great to run in. I'm still unsure why there's no standard 13 size and only 13.5 everywhere I look but the fit is just right as long as I tighten the laces. That's my last comment - would prefer traditional laces rather than these thing elasticky things - but otherwise Im now very happy :-)
I have been running for 36 years and probably tried almost every brand of running shoes. I had never really tried adidas, though. Wow, am I glad I have now. I am over 6 feet tall and weigh 200 lbs., so want a well cushioned shoe that is also supportive. The sequence boost 7 absolutely fits the bill. It has a very smooth ride and is very comfortable as well. I need the wide version but it fits great and gives me all the protection I need and want. I think I have found my new go to shoe.
I have had a foot condition called capsulitis for the past two years which has prevented me from walking as far as I wished. Recently, I tried on these shoes, and immediately I felt a difference in my left foot. For the first time in over two years, I did not feel pain! I can now walk 6 miles easily and not have to favor my foot. What a great pair of shoes! My feet automatically strike the ground with heels first, as it should be.
As an older athlete that like to walk around in a tennis style shoe these not only are VERY comfortable but they breathe quite nicely as well which is great for my feet. It almost feels like they put GELS in the soles of these shoes too, very low impact when walking. love em so far. Now to see if they last.
The shoe is extremely comfortable on the sole and in the length, the shoe is still too narrow, I am a 10 EEE and its very tough to find comfortable Adidas shoes, went with 10.5. Having diabetic neuropathy in both feet this technology is extremely comfortable. Am working on breaking the shoe in so the width will be a little more comfortable. Any suggestions you can give
This is the best running shoe in the market right now, at least in my opinion. It is. it's firm enough that you don't get the sinking sensation you typically get from a well cushioned shoe however putting the boost material in between the sole and the Eva foam was a nice touch.
