by NurseChris Best "off road" shoe ever!
I've been through three other pair of shoes hiking through the mountains of Oahu, Hawaii. These are by far the best! Great fit, comfortable wear, they give me sure footing on steep & muddy trails & they stay tied the entire time!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Linor Great Sole, Zero Ankle Support
I've been wearing the Kanadia line for years, and I've always loved them. Living where I do, I have friends pick them up in the US for me each year and bring me my new pairs...no issues, till now. The 5 fits me correctly, and they've got a great super grippy sole. So no complaints there...but these things have ZERO ankle support. I do mostly city running (although these are made for trails) but do live in a city with lots of stone paths and uneven walkways...I run about 40k a week, and until I started running in these, less than three weeks ago, I'd never rolled my ankle. Today, I did it for the 4th time. OW. Not sure what they were thinking when they designed these...but it certainly wasn't about what happens above the heel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by farmer88 Love Them!!
I work on a farm everyday so I am mostly in boots. It's very rare that I get to wear sneakers but I finally went out to buy a pair of sneakers for my feet. I fell in love with these and I love them more and more everyday. They are extremely comfortable, springy, and well-made. In addition; they are very grippy so you can walk on ice and snow and not worry about falling. I'll be buying another pair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 40 something runner unfortunately disappointed
Have been looking for new kanadias for a long time and decided to take a chance on the lastest version. I had original Kanadia for last 4 years and they were the most comfortable shoe I have ever run in and I wore at work on concrete floor all day. I did read reviews online before purchasing. I ordered 1/2 size bigger as per reviews. Shoe was too long for me and too tight. It was not comfortable at all. I have a small, average width foot, so I was surprised with the tightness of the shoe. Original Kanadia feels like you are walking on air, sadly the Kanadia 5 does not even come close. Will continue to search for original shoe. Wish Adidas had not discontinued. Why stop making a great shoe???

Rated 4 out of 5 by cesped Good Quality Addidas
I found within the last year that Addidas shoe are the shoes that fit me the best of any brand. These shoes are no exception, and I'll probably wear these until they fall apart like my last ones.
One thing to note though, the length runs a little short. Not short enough for me to go a half size up, but my toe is brushing the inside tip of the shoe. If you usually have a pretty tight fit lengthwise on your normal size, you might want to consider going a half size up.
Same with the width. They are more narrow than my last Addidas, so if you already have a pretty snug fit width-wise as well, you should consider a half size up.

I've worn these out on dry trails mostly. One morning, I decided to throw these on to walk my dogs around my apartment complex instead of my usual flip flops since it's getting colder in the mornings. These shoes have no traction on wet pavement! I don't think I've had any sneakers slip on wet sidewalk, especially name brand ones. These are my first pair of Adidas running shoes. I've usually had New Balance and never had a problem. I had even worn those shoes in snow and somewhat icy conditions. I think I may be ditching Adidas. Great lightweight shoes though and I loved the design.

I bought these trainers to cope with running on any terrain. I am pleased with how they look, and they feel sturdy but comfortable. I run outside in them many times due to the snow, but they absorb the shock of impact well, and have good grip. The upper allows air to circulate through, but my feet did not get wet in the rain or snow. Very pleased with them and think that they are great value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Matt's mom next gen trail shoes
I have been running the trails in Adidas for as long as I can remember. They have great traction, a roomy toe box and always fit as they say (I buy 1/2 size bigger then my normal sneaker). This Kanadia 5 seems to have forgotten the roomy toe box. It is narrower then all my other versions of this shoe and it appears to be fitting smaller then in previous versions. I read the reviews before buying and got 1 full size larger then my normal sneaker. They fit ok. I love the colors, the grip I get and generally am happy with this shoe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by hiker88 style change
I had the Kanadia tr 3 and loved them till they fell apart. Hiked hundreds of miles through the Sierras with them, through snow, rugged terrain, boulder-hopping in the desert, the works. Never one blister even though on one trip they were wet for two weeks solid.
I ordered the Kanadia 5 to replace them and noticed a different fit right away. The toe box is much narrower than the 3's. Even though I have very narrow feet and ordered a half size bigger to compensate for toe spread and the swelling that accompanies a multi-day hike, my pinky toes were rubbing. Had to send them back. If you are just doing light exercise, they are probably great. The style is awesome. These shoes will not replicate the blisterless heaven that the 3s gave me though.
