Gazelle · Shoes
When adidas introduced the Gazelle shoe back in 1966, it dominated indoor soccer gyms and handball courts. The Gazelle was built for swift moves and sure-footed grip for athletes, but its casual style and minimalist 3-Stripes look brought it onto the campus into mass popularity. Over 50 years later, the Gazelle sneaker continues to be a mainstay of casual streetwear. The Gazelle has graced the feet of icons like Bob Marley, Kate Moss, and Michael Jackson.

With adidas Gazelle shoes, there is no reason to reinvent the wheel. This is a shoe that connects artists, dreamers, and hustlers across five decades because of its ability to channel timeless low-key luxury. The Gazelle OG sports the classic look that has stayed consistent since the ‘60s. With a leather heel patch and 3-Stripes on the cow suede upper, the iconic style hugs the foot with a more narrow fit.
We’ve also brought back the 1991 version of the Gazelle shoes, which highlighted the essence of grunge and the excitement of global connection after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Made of soft nubuck, the sneakers are lined in a neutral tone to complement the classic low-key style. The same soft suede upper with contrast 3-Stripes and a heel tab that echoes early-'90s style still look fresh thirty years later. A metallic-gold "Gazelle" adds the final authentic touch. If you want to add a playful touch of color, try out the design with hand-drawn whimsical dot print on the 3-Stripes, heel tab and sockliner. Our collaboration project with skateboarding shoe brand Alltimers has transformed the 1987 Gazelle Super into a shoe that’s built both for hitting the skate park and hanging out with friends.
