From being a soccer player, I wore my sambas as a badge of honor. If you saw someone else in sambas, you knew and they knew, there was a mutual respect between each other because of the beautiful game. A friendly look always accompanied. Black and white, that’s all I ever had, and they went perfect with everything if you ask me. (Read, wedding day) Nowadays, I have more styles of samba than I could ever imagine! One for every track suit! The colors, the styles, the textures; ADIDAS knew my identity, but know it knew my style. And no matter what, I know that when I take a size 19 out of the box, and put them on, I still get that feeling of being on the field, or indoor turf, like it was yesterday. I retired from the game 25 years ago. Thank goodness ADIDAS hasn’t retired on excellence in footwear.
